Missed NUST or FAST-NUCES? Try QAU or GCU Lahore

QAU’s deadlines are staggered: undergraduate closes August 10, self-support seats August 18, MS/MPhil/PhD August 21, and Pharm-D runs to September 22–29, per QAU’s admissions portal. GCU Lahore’s BS applications close August 8, across its Main and KSK campuses. Both mean relocating to Islamabad or Lahore if you’re not already there.

Wanted UET Lahore or COMSATS for Engineering or CS?

UET’s undergraduate window closed July 16, but MS/MPhil programs stay open until August 13 (test: August 17–19). Closed for this cycle doesn’t mean closed for good. Here’s when each one typically reopens:

• University of the Punjab: Closed May 25 (UG, second test July 19) and July 13 (PG). No major Spring intake; next window is Fall 2027, around April-May 2027.
• LUMS: Closed January 27 under its own annual calendar. No Spring intake. Fall 2027 applications typically open around September 2026.
• NED (Karachi): Closed May 29. Runs a smaller Spring intake, usually opening November-December for a February start.
• IBA Karachi: Round 1 results were out April 21; effectively closed by early June. Spring intake usually opens October-November; check the IBA portal directly since round timing shifts yearly.
